Mary Wadleigh1

F, #85, d. before 13 January 1730
  • Marriage*: before 1693; Year based on birth date of first child.; Spouse=John Cram2,3,4,5
  • Death*: before 13 January 1730; date of John Cram's second marriage6
  • Note*: Deed: On 19 Feb 1721/2 John Cram of Hampton in the province of New Hampshire yeoman, in consideration of £6, granted to Benjamin Wadleigh of Exeter 16 acres of land in Exeter "being part of one hundred acres which came to my wife by the right of my brother in law Joseph Wadleigh deceased" near a place called Deer Hill. Signed by John Cram and Mary Cram. Recorded 20 Sept 1722. Abstracted by Jeff Moore.

Presumably this Benjamin Wadleigh was Sarah Young's nephew, as by the next deed in this volume, recorded on the same date, Robert Wadleigh of Exeter yeoman granted to his son Benjamin Wadleigh, in consideration of love and affection, 50 acres of land in Exeter near a place called Deer Hill.

Note also, that on 30 Jul 1719 Henry Wadleigh of Exeter granted to his son Joseph several parcels, including one sixth of 100 acres in Exeter near a hill known as Deer Hill.

Presumably the six siblings of Joseph Wadleigh, participant in Gove's Rebellion, each received one sixth part of his 100 acres. Three are accounted for here.2
