    Mrs. Edward B. Cook dies yesterday at age 90

    Mrs. Edward B. Cook (Mary Repplier Cook), a 54-year resident of Redlands, died yesterday at the age of 90. She had been in failing health for several years.

    Mrs. Cook was a native of Reading, Pa. her husband, Edward B. Cook, a steel company executive, died during the influenze epidemic of 1918. The Cook home was in Cleveland, Ohio, and after his death Mrs. Cook moved to Redlands with her five children to be with Mrs. Edgar S. Cook who was living here.

    In civic work she served in the Motor Corps of the American Red Cross during World War II, was an air watch observer, served on the boards of the Family Service, was on the Cunty Grand Jury, was a longtime regular worker at the Community Shop and was a charter member of the Assistance League. Mrs. Cook had traveled extensively in Europe in former years.

    She was an active member of Sacred Heart church. Mrs. Cook is survived by her son Edward Bailey Cook, Jr., San Mateo, Mrs. Frank E. Moore, Mrs. William G. Moore, Mrs. Dan C. Smith, all of Redlands A son John died in 1942. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

    There will be Ecumenical memorial services of Remembrance Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at F. Arthur Cortner Chapel. Requiem Mass will be at Sacred heart Church Saturday morning 10 o'clock with internment following at Hillside Memorial park. F. Arthur Cortner chapel in charge.

    The family suggests that those who wish , make donations to the Family Service of Redlands or to their favorite charity.7
