Notes
- Note*: The administration of Peter McGauley contains a standard bond by his widow Mary dated 21 March 1817. One of the listed co-promisors is "Mary Ann McGauley, spinster", whose signature appears to read "Mann Gaulerey".5
- Note: The 1829 administration of Mary McGauley, widow of Peter, contains a document signed by "...we the Adult Heirs of Mrs Mary McGauley...Ann Keaugh, Ellen M'Calla, Belinda Lancaster".1

Section J, Vault No. 19:
"19 - Ellen G. Keough, died April 2, 1854; age, 30 years; also, her mother,
Ann Lancaster, died June 3, 1852; age 59 years."3 - Note: Conclusions:
1) Parentage: Ann is a daughter of Mary McGauley, as shown first by the "We the adult heirs" document. It is shown second by Nicholas Keough's death notice which names his uncle Jacob B. Lancaster, who we know to be the husband of Ann McGauley's sister Belinda.
2) Birth: Ann must have been eighteen to be a bondswoman in her father's 21 March 1817 administration, making her born before March 1799. This is supported by the 1850 census age of 51. That census gives her place of birth as Ireland which is consistent with the little we know from Peter's naturalization. The age given on the tombstone transcription has her born 1793.
3) First husband with surname Keough has not been identified. He died before the 1830 Census. Candidates include Michael Keoughs, d. 31 Aug 1828, age 30, so b. about 1798, buried St. Joseph's.
4) Second husband was Thomas Lancaster, 30 years her senior, father of her brother-in-law Jacob Lancaster. Thomas was widowed in 1845.
