Will at Dept. of State, Trenton, copied in full, dated 1 July 1758.
The will names four slaves: "I Order that my three Negroes namely London Cuff and Thomas be Sold...I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Abigail One Negro Girl named Miriam"1 - Note: "In 1708 removed to Hopewell Township and with John Cornwall, John Moot and Thomas Reed, purchased1,300 acres of land; that part allotted to Moorecovering the site of the later village of Pennington. He was Lieutenant of the Third Company of New Jersey Colonial Troops in 1715 and later a Captian; was commissioned a Justice in 1725."2
