Notes
- Note*: Obituary in The Citrograph, Redlands, California, Sat. 15 Nov 1902:
"Death of Mrs. Elmira S. Moore.
Mrs. Elmira S. Moore, widow of the late Captain W. G. Moore, and mother of Paul W., W. M. S., and Miss May Moore, died at an early hour last Saturday morning. Mrs. Moore was born in Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania, November 17, 1841. In May, 1865, while visiting a sister in Lincoln, Illinois, she was married to Captain W. G. Moore, also of Womelsdorf, then an officer in the Union army, but recently proprietor of the Facts. Her life was passed in Womelsdorf until April, 1896, when, upon the death of her father, she came to Redlands to reside with her husband, who had proceeded her arrival in a few months, and prepared a home for his family. Death resulted from heart disease from which she had been a sufferer for several years. The funeral was delayed until Thursday, when the absent son having arrived, the service took place, being very largely attended by friends of the family."7
