  • Note: Minutes of Falls Monthly Meeting 7th of 6th mo 1736: It is evident that Edward Lucas, Junr., hath married out of the unity of Friends.4
  • Note*: Edward's birth is not recorded in the Falls Monthly Meeting records, as are his siblings. His parentage is proved by his father's and his brother's wills:

    Will of Edward Lucas of Falls Township, written 11th mo 23 1737, proven June 2 1740, names son Edward Lucas. (Bucks Co. Wills, 2:5) Will of John Lucas, of Falls Township, written 6th mo 9 1748, proven 25 August 1748, names brother Edward Lucas. (Bucks Co. Wills, 2:115)1
  • Note: Edward Lucas, junior, witnessed the marriages at Falls Meeting of his brother John, 8 mo 27 1730, and of his sister Mercy, 9 mo 8 1732, but not that of his Margaret, 8 mo 7 1731.
  • Note: Edward Lucas and his children are major beneficiaries of the 1747 will of Rebecca Lucas, also residing in Frederick County, Virginia. Presumably she is his father's sister.5,6
