    In 1816 he assumed control of the Brandywine Iron Works, later Lukens Steel Company...became the first manufacturer of boiler plate in America.

    Roberts book cites Chester Co. meeting records, Col. Fam. of America V:334, Poulson's Am. Daily Advertiser 25 Jun 1825 & The Phila. Inquirer 3 Jul 1935. Children & grandchildren are named.2
