  • Note*: Richard witnessed his sister Anna's marriage 8 June 1852, at the Friends Meeting in Philadelphia Northern District.

    He also witnessed the marriages of his Matlack aunts Rebecca 1855, Elizabeth 1856 and Ann 1858.

    In the 1860 Census 'Richard Whitel' appeared to be unmarried, living in the Philadelphia household of Samuel Troth.4
